The Agenda
Encounter Christ is an 8 hour day at a local retreat center. Participants will carpool from their parish to the center. Lunch and light refreshments will be served during the day.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
8:00 – Meet in parish lower level/parking lot, transportation to retreat center.
9:15-9:30 – Arrive/ Get Settled
9:30-9:55– Get to Know You / “Catch Up”
9:55-10:25 – Witness #1: Interior Life
10:25-10:55 – Group Discussion
10:55-11:55 – Venue-specific exercise OR Lectio Divina OR Personal Prayer Time
11:55-12:45 - Lunch
12:45-1:15 – Witness #2: Works of Mercy
1:15-1:45 - Witness #2: Corporal Works of Mercy
1:45-2:15 – Group Discussion
2:15-2:35 - Break / Snacks
2:35-3:35 - Gathering Graces
3:35-3:50 - Final Announcements
3:50-4:00 - Break / Prepare for Mass
4:00 – Mass *If parish spiritual director is unavailable for Mass, retreat will end around 3:50.
5:00 – Transportation from the retreat center home
*arrival time at parish may be tweaked based on proximity from parish to retreat center
